Woodland Community Church

Take A Look At WCC

• The Purpose of Woodland Community Church is “To Glorify God” (First Corinthians 10:31).
• The Mission of Woodland Community Church is “To See Lives Changed Through Faith In Jesus Christ” (Matthew 28:19).
• The Core Values of Woodland Community Church are “God’s Word, Prayer, Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Fellowship, Service” (Acts 2:42-47).
• The Vision of Woodland Community Church is “We see a church family that is continually encouraging one another towards spiritual maturity centered on Jesus Christ as He is found in the Word of God. We see a body of believers making an eternal difference in the lives of individuals, our community and the world” (Proverbs 29:18).

Woodland Community Church (WCC) was organized in 1972, through the united efforts of Youth Gospel Crusade, Camp Forest Springs and interested local citizens. Rev. Richard Neale, president of Youth Gospel Crusade, served as pastor until 1975, when the church was ready to call a full-time pastor. Since that time, WCC has had a succession of six full-time pastors.

The WCC facility is situated on a picturesque 16-acre site. The Worship Center seats 250 people and serves as a multi-purpose area. The facility also houses offices, classrooms and fellowship hall. WCC also owns the Genesis Youth Center (GYC) located on Main Street of Rib Lake, which houses our Youth and Family Life Ministries Pastor’s office, game room, gymnasium, kitchen and upper level meeting room. We are grateful to the Lord that both the WCC facility and the GYC are debt-free.

WCC currently has 71 Partners (members). Our congregation is drawn from a radius of approximately 10-15 miles. The largest percentage of those who attend are from the village of Rib Lake, located seven miles from the church. The town of Westboro (population 169) and the village of Rib Lake (population 930), comprise the heart of the communities served by WCC.

Our Sunday Morning Worship currently averages an attendance of 165 children and adults. A significant number of those who attend Morning Worship also attend Sunday School, which offers classes for children and youth of all ages as well as elective classes for adults.

WCC maintains a strong Truth Seekers Kids Club which draws approximately 65-70 boys and girls each Wednesday evening. Over half of the children attending are from families who do not currently attend WCC. WCC also maintains a strong Junior and Senior High Youth Ministry each Wednesday and Friday evening, which takes place in our GYC, under the leadership of our Youth and Family Life Ministries Pastor. The average attendance on each evening is 40, with approximately half of the youth attending being from families who do not currently attend WCC.

Several Men’s and Women’s Ministries are conducted throughout the year, including Bible studies, retreats, outreach events and fellowship opportunities.

WCC has a vibrant missionary heart and faithfully prays for and supports ten missionary families and two mission organizations.

Since October 1, 2014, Pastor Len Robinson, and his wife, Hope, have been serving at Woodland Community Church, under the auspices of Interim Pastor Ministries. They have led our Transition Team and our church family in an intentional and comprehensive process, through the careful and prayerful consideration and implementation of four strategic transitional tasks. To learn more about Interim Pastor Ministries, and how they serve to impact a local church during a time of transition, we invite you to visit their website at www.interimpastors.com or to contact IPM’s Executive Director, Rev. Tom Harris, via his email, provided on the website, or by calling 800-501-7117.
