Conversion Experience:
I was born July 6, 1989, in a Hindu family in Orissa, India. There are six members in our family, and my father earns a living through farming. I was greatly influenced by my grandparents in worshiping idols and observing rituals. Along with them, I also involved in all the religious acts.
My parents came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ during my childhood and started to attend the local church regularly. However, the bitter experiences that I had in my life discouraged me from following them. Rather I started to run after the world and was soon addicted to alcohol and drugs. My parents were greatly troubled due to my misbehavior. They often advised me to give up my sinful ways and live for God, but I did not change my life. I wasted time enjoying my bad company and involving in filthy activities. Deep within, I had no peace, and I desperately longed for it.
My parents’ continuous prayers and supplication to the Lord began to bring changes in me. Once, I went to church along with them and participated in the worship service. That day, the pastor preached about Christ’s love. I was completely broken when I realized Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross for me. Then and there, I confessed my sins and welcomed Jesus into my heart as my personal Savior. Shortly, I publicly testified my faith in water baptism.
The Prince of peace filled my heart with peace and joy, and it was for the first time that I ever experienced such kind of peace within me. Glorifying the Lord, I continued to attend church services and learned more from the Word. Gradually, as I was drawing closer to God, I perceived a call for the ministry. When I was confirmed of my Master’s call, I humbly surrendered myself to carry the Good News to the unreached and enrolled in a Gospel for Asia Bible School to be well-equipped for the task ahead.
Present Ministry:
The Lord is using me as an evangelist to preach His love to the Hindu majority in Orissa, India. To win the lost for Christ, I involve in activities such as personal evangelism, house visitation, home-prayer meetings, Gospel-tract distribution and church-planting work.
Please pray for me and my family that we would serve God faithfully and fulfill His plan to expand His kingdom.
