Paul & Roxanne Wilson

The Wilson’s are serving at El Monte Ministry Center in Mexico.

We are the Wilsons. We have made a significant transition in our lives recently leaving our long standing ministry at Camp Forest Springs in Wisconsin to join the WEC International Mexico team in Ticuman, Morelos, Mexico.

Our years at Camp Forest Springs were a very rich and satisfying experience. We have told many people that we had no reason to leave Camp Forest Springs…except the Lord; and we had every reason to stay at Camp Forest Springs…except the Lord. It is God who has moved us and we proceed with glad obedience.

We now serve at the El Monte Ministry Center in Ticumán, Morelos, Mexico where Paul’s primary ministry is helping develop the camp & conference ministry. This involves the ministry philosophy, facilities, and program.  From the beginning, we are training Mexican camping leaders and building a team of national staff members.  Roxanne’s primary work is to be a support role as wife and mother. She is also an active member of the WEC Mexico missionary team and involved in various regular missionary activities.

Prior to joining WEC International Mission and the effort to help develop the El Monte Ministry Center in Mexico, Paul was the director of camping ministries at Camp Forest Springs in Westboro, Wisconsin. His responsibilities included overseeing the various ministries of camp including Program Ministries, Food Service, Guest Services, Adventure Ministries, Computer Systems, Maintenance, and Accommodations.

Paul served with Camp Forest Springs from 1983-2007.  His first years were on summer staff.  In 1986 Paul & Roxanne enrolled in the Camp Forest Springs LTD program. In 1991, they joined the CFS missionary staff.

Paul is a member of CCCA/US (Christian Camp Conference Association/US) and he has served on the “CCCA Wisconsin Section Cabinet.“ He is also a member of CCI/Mexico (Christian Camping International/Mexico) and serves on the CCI Mexico national board of directors.

He has a BA in Ministries with a Minor in Christian Education and Recreation from Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota and a MA in Communications through Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.
